Supporting and Advancing Health Assistance for vulnerable children and women — free medical and dental services, delivered where they are needed most.
SAHA is a joint initiative led by Progetto Sud ETS, with the Order of Malta Jordan NGO as co-applicant and JOHUD — the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development — as operational partner. Together we strengthen access to essential healthcare for vulnerable, low-income, rural, and refugee communities, with a clear focus on women and children aged 6–50.
The project enhances the Mobile Medical Unit — originally provided by the Order of Malta and operated by JOHUD — to deliver integrated, free medical services including dental care, screening, and minor treatments, alongside prevention and community health awareness.
Technical assessment of the MMU, staff capacity, and operational mechanisms. Renewal of collaboration with local health centres, hospitals, private clinics, and medical suppliers.
Procurement of new dental equipment. Free medical days in target areas, community health orientation sessions, and a referral system for cases requiring hospital care. Internal reporting and documentation begins.
Strengthened networking with local civil society organisations and promotion of the project through social media and institutional communication channels.
Final monitoring and evaluation mission by Progetto Sud ETS, with a follow-up and impact report.
To contribute to universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals by providing quality, equitable healthcare to the most vulnerable communities in Jordan.
To enhance access to free basic healthcare through the technical and operational strengthening of the Mobile Medical Unit — making it deployable, consistent, and better-equipped for sustained impact.

SAHA is co-implemented by Italian, Jordanian, and international partners — each contributing technical, operational, and financial support to the work on the ground.
